EXIGENCY OF LIVELIHOOD SECURITY IN COVID TIMES

While whole-hearted actions are taking place on the ground to ensure provisions for the displaced and the less-privileged in these tough times, there is also a need for looking ahead and building the necessary mechanism for future-proofing and for averting backsliding of the low-income households to destitution.

More than ever before, it has become imperative for us to accelerate MISSION SWAVALAMBAN and fuel a rapid movement of nano/micro-entrepreneurship pan-India, with focus on the reverse migrants, unemployed and under-employed segments of the society.

SWAVALAMBAN e-SUMMIT

Swavalamban e-Summit is our bold attempt to foster dialogue, deliberations, discourses and deep-dive sessions with a singular goal of transforming micro-enterprise aspirants into empowered entrepreneurs. The SUMMIT shall bring together 12000+ well-equipped new-enterprise aspirants, 10000+ NGOs (working in the space of livelihood development and promotion), 200+ SAARTHIs (who have enabled these aspirants with business planning), Managing Directors of select large banks, 50+ senior bankers, CSR leaders and other dignitaries with interest and history in livelihoods and entrepreneurship promotion.

The central theme of the summit is to explore convergence and bring together varied stakeholders to encourage action-oriented dialogue for boosting self-employment and rapid nano/micro-entrepreneurship in tier-2/3/4/rural parts of India.

We aim to enable at least 2000 micro-enterprises aspirants for credit linkages in the month of August and needless to say, would need enormous convergence to ensure that these enterprises start and grow.

In association with SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), LetsEndorse has been driving MISSION SWAVALAMBAN in 108 districts (in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Telangana) to create and handhold at least 10,000 MSMEs in the first run of the mission. As part of this, through a unique technology-and-touch model, young enterprise aspirants (reverse-migrants/ unemployed/ under-employed) are nurtured with locally-relevant business models, enterprise planning, credit linkages and handholding through a local area (and corporate employee volunteers led) mentor-network.
